Fettucine Alfredo with Grilled Chicken

I love an easy weeknight meal...especially when I have a little guy who wants all of his mom's attention right when it is time to make dinner!  The grilled chicken can be prepared ahead of time and then reheated just before serving, really cutting out a lot of the prep time just before dinner.

This recipe makes 3-4 servings.

8 oz fettuccine noodles
2 grilled chicken breasts (Seasoning with basic salt and pepper work just fine.  Whenever we need grilled chicken, we use this recipe here.)
1 large garlic clove, minced
1 TBSP butter
4 oz cream cheese
1/2 C milk (I use 2%)
1/2 C Parmesan cheese
salt and pepper to taste

Prepare the pasta noodles according to the package directions.
In a separate saucepan, melt the butter and add the garlic on medium heat.  Stir until fragrant and softened.
Add the cream cheese and stir until it is melted.
Add the milk and Parmesan cheese and stir until the sauce comes together and is smooth.
Salt and pepper the sauce to taste.
Serve the sauce over the pasta and grilled chicken.
