Strawberry Sauce

Wow...this sauce made me want to dip everything in it...it was so good!  I adapted it from a recipe found in a Taste of Home cookbook.

1/2 C water
1/2 C sugar
1 tsp cornstarch (not necessary, but use it for a thicker sauce)
1/2-3/4 C cut up strawberries

Bring the water and sugar to a boil.
Bring heat to medium and stir in the cornstarch and then strawberries.
Let it simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Serve warm over just about anything (especially these Apple Oat Pancakes)!
