Bacon Wrapped Jalepeno Poppers

Did you ever want to induce a heart attack?  Well...I am about to tell you how!
These poppers are so good, but oh so greasy (they don't exactly fit into my usual menu of healthy recipes, but events like Super Bowl snacking call for appetizers like these)!


6 jalapeno peppers, cut in half with seeds removed
4 oz. softened cream cheese
4 oz. sausage, cooked through
12 strips of bacon

Preheat the oven to 400.
Line a cookie sheet (one with edges) with foil and spray lightly with cooking spray.
Mix the softened cream cheese and sausage together in a bowl.
Stuff each pepper half with 1-2 TBSP of cream cheese filling.

Wrap each popper with one strip of bacon (be sure to not wrap them too tightly, the bacon shrinks a little bit as it cooks).

Place the poppers evenly on the pan.
Bake for 25-30 minutes until the bacon is cooked through.
