Birds' Nests
This is a fun spring recipe that is so easy to put together and looks so cute. It would be fun to have the kids help, too!
6 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
6 oz. butterscotch chips
1 C creamy peanut butter
5 oz. chow mein noodles
36 Cadbury egg chocolates
butter, softened (to grease the muffin tins)
Grease 12 muffin tins with butter.
In a large bowl, microwave the chocolate chips and butterscotch chips in 30 second increments, stirring between each 30 seconds.
Once the melted mixture is melted completely and smooth, mix in the peanut butter.
Add the chow mein noodles and mix them into the melted mixture gently until they are completely covered.
Divide evenly into the 12 muffin tins and form into a nest shape.
Place 2-3 egg candies on each nest.
Place in the freezer for 45-60 minutes until set.
Remove the nests from the muffin tins using a butter knife if necessary.
Store the nests in the refrigerator until you are ready to serve them to avoid melting.
