Dessert Saltine Crackers

On the 11th day of Christmas my true love gave to me...crunchy sweet and salty treats!

I know, it wounds really weird, but believe me...it works!  The sweet and salty combination is a quick treat that is a cinch to whip up.

20 saltine crackers
1 C butter
1 C brown sugar
1 C white chocolate chips
1 1/2 C sliced almonds

Preheat oven to 350.
Line a cookie sheet with foil.
Set out the crackers on the foil.
Bring the butter and brown sugar to a boil and boil on medium while stirring for 3 minutes.
Pour the mixture over the crackers.
Bake for 5 minutes.
Remove the crackers from the oven and turn the oven off.
Sprinkle the crackers with the chocolate and almonds.
Return the pan to the oven for 3 minutes.
Remove from the oven and with a greased spatula, smash and spread the chocolate and almonds.
Let the crackers cool for 5-7 minutes and then remove from the pan.

*This recipe is from my old coworker, Jenny.
